Kushida must defeat Velveteen Dream

WWE has one of the best wrestlers in the world, regardless of weight class, in Kushida. It is hard to believe that this is his first match on an NXT TakeOver showcase. WWE has continued to miss on men and women that were stars in other organizations, and it would be completely egregious if that continued with this multiple-time champion. The new, vicious version of Kushida is a threat to anyone on the WWE roster and to make that believable he needs to pick up a strong win over Velveteen Dream on Sunday.

In Dream, the WWE has a problematic individual who they continue to stand behind, regardless of the social outcry that continues about his presence. #FireVelveteenDream will not go away, especially if he continues to perform on NXT. Just like they did with Matt Riddle, if WWE plans to keep Dream and ignore his transgressions, they need to move him to the main roster away from the hardcore fans that watch NXT. While this will not remove any of the issues that come with him, placing him on SmackDown would put Dream in the eyesight of viewers who do not know as much about his past, silencing some of the crowd that wants him off of their televisions.
