WWE Hell in a Cell 2020: 3 possible opponents for Asuka
Asuka vs. Peyton Royce at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020
Peyton Royce, per WrestleTalk’s Louis Dangoor, has made an impression on her colleagues and backstage officials. Now on her own as a singles competitor after she and Billie Kay were forced to go their separate ways, Royce appears poised to win a singles title in the next year.
I’m not sure she would beat Asuka at Hell in a Cell, but she could have a career-best performance as a main roster superstar in a singles match with a competitor she’s familiar with from their days together in NXT.
Royce was always good in the ring, but she’s made even more progress since joining the Raw and SmackDown rosters. That’s a big reason why she’s been tabbed for singles success in WWE, and she could boost her stock with a good performance against the Empress of Tomorrow on Oct. 25.
Out of these three competitors, I’d rate Royce’s chances of beating Asuka in a hypothetical match below Belair’s but above Zelina’s. I think Royce still needs some more time before she wins a title, but if backstage officials are high on her, that title win could happen sooner than we think. As soon as Hell in a Cell? We’ll see, and there’s a draft complicating things. But keep an eye out for her.
