3.) Bianca Belair vs. Peyton Royce vs. Billie Kay vs. Zelina Vega vs. Mickie James vs. Natalya vs. Lana vs. Mandy Rose vs. Dana Brooke vs. Mystery Participant [Raw Women’s Championship #1C Battle Royal]

Raw Women’s Champion Asuka has already run through Mickie James and Zelina Vega since winning back the championship from Sasha Banks at SummerSlam. With the draft approaching, the Raw Women’s Division now needs a restart, and the best way to do this is by booking a Women’s Battle Royal to determine the next contender for Asuka’s Raw Women’s Championship.

Thanks to Bianca Belair’s weekly promo packages and Peyton Royce’s recent parting of ways with Billie Kay to pursue a nascent singles push of sorts, these two superstars are the betting favorites to become the next number one contender for Asuka’s Raw Women’s Championship. However, it would be saddening to see their pushes lose steam once they inevitably lose to Asuka.

On the other hand, Carmella’s recent revelation as the mystery woman on SmackDown could symbolize her reinsertion into the title picture. She clearly stated that she could be on either brand. Thanks to the brand-to-brand invitational rule and her battle royal experience from WrestleMania 35, Carmella can win this battle royal and aim to defeat Asuka for the third time.

To avoid the trap Zelina Vega unfortunately fell into, Belair and Royce should be reserved as top contenders once they are built up properly. While Belair and Royce still need to build up their star power and credibility as singles stars on the main roster, Carmella already has the star power and credibility, especially as a former SmackDown Women’s Champion.

She also already has history with Asuka, thanks to her 2-0 track record against her in one-on-one title matches. Asuka has never defeated Carmella and Carmella has never won the Raw Women’s Championship. With Asuka as the top face in the Raw Women’s Division and Carmella’s recent heel turn, the story is right there for the taking and the WWE needs to strike while the iron is hot.
