WWE Hell in a Cell: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax (c) vs. Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose

While some may have expected The Riott Squad to dethrone Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, myself included, the makeshift duo has continued their dominance of the women’s tag team division. Following the 2020 WWE Draft, there seems to be only one clear tag team competitor for them on WWE Raw.

While they’ll likely find themselves floating between brands in the future, as is par for the course for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, it would make sense for WWE to stick to WWE Raw’s competition first. Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose are still a very new team, but they’ve picked up three wins since joining forces and could provide an unlikely challenge to the champions.

WWE Hell in a Cell: Raw Tag Team Championship

Raw Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (c) vs. The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander)

One of the most frustrating and heart-wrenching moments of the 2020 WWE Draft saw Big E separated from The New Day. The former SmackDown Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods got moved to WWE Raw, while Big E has been left on SmackDown.

It was a difficult blow for the trio, but they will continue onward despite that. After a title swap facilitated by Adam Pearce, The New Day are officially the Raw Tag Team Champions now, and it would be great to see them up against some new challengers in Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander of The Hurt Business. Of course, don’t expect RETRIBUTION to just let this match go off without a hitch.
