WWE Raw: 5 bold predictions after the 2020 draft
Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose will win the tag titles
I honestly thought Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan would have won the WWE Women’s Tag Titles by now, but Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are proving to be a lot more entertaining than mere transitional champions.
Ruby and Liv are now on SmackDown, and while I think the tag titles are in their future, I also think Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke will win tag team gold together.
Both women are excellent tag team wrestlers and add a lot of ability to a women’s tag team division that was low on teams. Brooke is quietly a major standout in tag matches. I know Rose and Sonya Deville already had a tag team, but it was Deville who turned, not Rose. There seems to be no indication that Rose is against winning the tag titles, which she and Deville were never able to achieve together.
Both women are still searching for their first title victory in WWE, so, like Ruby and Liv, it would be fitting for them to win a title as a team.
Xavier Woods will win the United States Championship
Big E is getting a singles push on SmackDown, and he is the best candidate to win the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37, if Roman Reigns were to drop the title and put over a future top babyface.
Kofi Kingston won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 in one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history.
And Xavier Woods has the talent in the ring and on the mic to be world champion. But first, I think he gets a surprise United States Title win.
We saw Woods in a United States Title Tournament a couple of years ago after Dolph Ziggler relinquished the title (with no pay-off, sadly), but he didn’t win. the championship despite receiving a lot of fan support.
Woods would be the best United States Champion in a while. Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Business have done a good job as a collective, and Apollo Crews was a great babyface champion.
But Woods? He can be one of the all-time great US Champions. He’s been waiting for an opportunity like this.
