AEW Full Gear: TNT Championship

TNT Championship Match: Cody (c) vs. Darby Allin

Back when Cody had initially captured the TNT Championship, he did so after defeating Darby Allin in the semifinals of a tournament to crown the inaugural champion. That victory came 20 minutes and 10 seconds into the match, a fitting time considering the first meeting between these two saw Allin outlast Cody in a 20-minute time limit draw.

Cody has faced Allin in singles competition one other time, on the AEW Dynamite: Homecoming Edition episode that took place on January 1, 2020. That match also saw Cody victorious, and it took him just over 17 minutes to do so. Now, the stage is set for a fourth singles collision between these two, one of the matches already confirmed for AEW Full Gear, and it could finally be the moment where Allin gets the upper hand and captures his first taste of championship gold in AEW.

AEW Full Gear: Who gets The Inner Circle?

Chris Jericho vs. MJF for control of The Inner Circle

We’ve seen MJF courting the idea of joining The Inner Circle in recent weeks, and things seemed to be closer than ever during this past episode of AEW Dynamite. A tense meeting in the ring between MJF and The Inner Circle saw an agreement between MJF and Jericho to have a steak dinner on this week’s episode to discuss the situation.

While MJF could simply join the group, it seems more likely this is all part of a grand plan, and MJF could be plotting a coup to usurp Chris Jericho as the leader of The Inner Circle. It would be a huge power move for MJF, and could give us a fascinating match between these two brash talkers at AEW Full Gear and set the stage for The Inner Circle to begin a new chapter with or without MJF.
