It’s time for a change in champion on SmackDown

While Bayley has been a revelation as SmackDown Women’s Champion sometimes you have to go in a different direction to freshen things up. Her stranglehold over the title needs to be ended as it is running out of steam.

Sasha Banks winning the title will bring new matches – with the likes of Zelina Vega and Bianca Belair waiting in line for a shot at the gold. Both of those women could have great matches with “The Boss” – the WWE Universe has been clamoring for a match between her and the Est of WWE since the latter was transferred to SmackDown earlier this month.

If the match, between Bayley and Banks at Hell in a Cell, is not a one and done – the roles will be reversed the next time they face each other as Sasha Banks would be the hunted instead of being the hunter. That placement would add another dimension to the rivalry, giving it extra legs if WWE choose to go down the route.

Sasha Banks has not had the lengthy championship reign she deserves – her record of successfully defending her title is not good either. This is the chance for her to rectify both of those issues – SmackDown has entered a new era, Sasha Six Times has a good ring to it.
