Otis vs. The Miz for the Money in the Bank briefcase

Result: The Miz defeats Otis after Tucker’s betrayal

Grade: C, A passable wrestling match with a wild ending. What was Tucker’s motivation for betraying Otis? Why? We’ll find out on Monday night, surely.

After The Miz bribed JBL during the “Law and Otis” segment, he received an undeserved opportunity to win the Money in the Bank briefcase at WWE Hell in a Cell off Otis, who won the briefcase at this year’s Pay Per View. But this could be a way to tet the briefcase to switch brands and boost the WWE Title scene.

The first big item to note is that Otis has a new theme song that fits his character, so consider it an upgrade for the Heavy Machinery man.

Otis started the match well, using his strength and all his frustration with The Miz to land early offense. Miz went for the Skull Crushing Finale at the first chance, but Otis had no trouble shoving him off.

John Morrison’s interference proved beneficial for The Miz, who hit a DDT and then started dominating the match due to Morrison’s cheapshots from the outside. He even paid tribute to Dolph Ziggler with a Sleeper Hold!

A big save from Morrison took place when Otis set up for the Caterpillar and Morrison dragged Miz out of the ring. Morrison even threatened to hit Otis with the backstage, but the ref saw it so Morrison was sent out!

Amidst all the chaos, Otis hit a couple of two-counts on a roll-up and a transition move, but it would take more to beat the A-Lister.

But then, the unthinkable happened…Tucker hit Otis with the briefcase to cost him the match! Does Miz have a new partner on Monday nights in his quest to win the WWE Title?

The promo after the match from The Miz gets an A+.
