Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship inside WWE Hell in a Cell

Result: Randy Orton wins with the RKO

Grade: B, A quality match. It shouldn’t have been the main event of the show, but Orton and McIntyre put on a good showing.

This is where the long-running rivalry between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre ends. And it could end with The Miz being WWE Champion after taking the briefcase off Otis.

The match began with Orton attacking McIntyre before the match began and the two men entered the cell, as he disguised himself as one of the crew.

Orton and McIntyre were having the type of match you’d expect. Lots of power moves, lots usage of the cell, and methodical offense. Most Orton matches are slow and methodical, and, of course, a match inside the cell with McIntyre was no different.

Though there were some flurries, though, including when Orton ended up hitting McIntyre with his wonderful Argentine Backbreaker. Orton reacted in disbelief when McIntyre kicked out at one, confirming with the ref that Drew did so. But he’s done that several times during his reign.

Orton rose the top of the cell and challenged McIntyre to meet him on top, so McIntyre, of course, obliged.

It was McIntyre who took the huge bump on the outside, as Orton threw him into the announce table on the outside! That was a BRUTAL bump, and it left McIntyre bleeding at the mouth and choking for air.

But McIntyre was able to get himself some space with a wonderful Claymore to send the Viper out of the ring! He went for a second Claymore but missed and got hit with the RKO.

Randy Orton wins his 14th world title!
