WWE WrestleMania 37 Predictions: Drew McIntyre Will End The Fiend Forever
By Mark Justice
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Big E [Universal Championship]
Big E needs to unleash the Langston on the Tribal Chief to solidify his singles push that has been desired by the WWE Universe for years. While Roman has been the top heel on SmackDown, Big E has been the top babyface and the top babyface should dethrone the top heel. Knowing WWE and Vince McMahon, Roman Reigns will probably win to defy all of that logic.
WWE’s lack of cognizance for diverse opportunity has been a vice of its past, present, and potentially its pernicious future. Big E has proven his main event status for a long time now and has brought that to light even more with his recent performances. It would be a flat out robbery if he does not win the Universal Championship. It’s time to shatter this glass ceiling.
Prediction: Big E
‘The Demon’ Finn Balor (c) vs. Karrion Kross [NXT Championship]
Karrion Kross relinquished the NXT Championship and Finn Balor is the current interim NXT Championship. The story speaks for itself here. However, it would be a neat twist if Balor brings back ‘The Demon.’ In order to defeat the indomitable Karrion Kross, Balor would have to unleash his best show and ‘The Demon’ is his greatest strength.
It helped him win the Universal Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2016 and the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 35. When stakes are high and stages are grand, the ‘Demon’ delivers. Balor will need that extra boost to prevail against Kross and prove why he is the top guy in NXT. Meanwhile, Kross can be called up to the main roster after Mania.
Prediction: ‘The Demon’ Finn Balor
Drew McIntyre (c) vs. ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt [WWE Championship]
Assuming Drew McIntyre wins back the WWE Championship from Orton and holds it all the way to WrestleMania 37, his ultimate opponent should be ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. As the new face of the WWE and the superstar who slayed Brock Lesnar at last year’s WrestleMania, it makes sense that his first reign was long and second reign remain intact till WrestleMania 37.
As much as the fans would love to see Wyatt win the WWE Championship to redeem himself from the abrupt endings to both of his Universal Championship reigns against Goldberg and Roman Reigns respectively, ‘The Fiend’ has already lost all of its momentum. WrestleMania 37 will be when ‘The Fiend’ character dies. McIntyre will end The Fiend forever. Fiend Slayer, anyone?
Prediction: Drew McIntyre
