WWE Survivor Series: Women’s Championship Showcase

Champion vs. Champion: WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks

In the third of our four “Champion vs. Champion” matches, we’ll see a familiar clash that could have the potential to steal the show despite how many times we’ve seen it in the past. Sasha Banks and Asuka have crossed paths several times just in the last few months, but this time it’s different.

In the past, Sasha Banks was standing beside her best friend Bayley and often relying on Bayley’s presence and help to secure her victory. This time, Sasha Banks is doing things her own way, and so far that way has made her the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

This might be the same Asuka as before, but this is a new Sasha Banks. With this new version of Banks, who will likely look to prove herself by defeating Asuka fairly, we might get yet another Match of the Year contender from these two at WWE Survivor Series.

Champion vs. Champion: WWE Raw’s WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. SmackDown’s Universal Champion Roman Reigns

In what is likely to be the night’s main event, we have a “Champion vs. Champion” match featuring the top man on each brand. WWE Champion Randy Orton is coming off a brutal match at WWE Hell in a Cell where he took the title from former champion Drew McIntyre.

Meanwhile, Universal Champion Roman Reigns will likely still be recovering from the emotional toll and long-term impact of his bitter rivalry with his cousin Jey Uso. These two won’t just be representing their brands, but they’ll be trying to prove who the real top champion is in WWE.

There’s also the potential for an x-factor on either side. Depending on how things go down with Jey Uso, Roman Reigns will either have new allies or bitter enemies, and Jey Uso could affect this match in some fashion.

On the other side, Randy Orton could find “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt continuing to stalk him. We saw hints that their rivalry could be renewed this week on WWE Raw, and “The Fiend” certainly wouldn’t hesitate to cost Randy Orton this match in order to make a statement.
