The full results, analysis, and highlights for this week’s NXT.

On the November 4th edition of WWE NXT, newfound rivals go head-to-head while others look to continue their astounding momentum en route to the next TakeOver. Ember Moon looks to gain some well-needed retribution against the deceptive Dakota Kai; meanwhile, Tommaso Ciampa seeks vengeance against Velveteen Dream.

Ember Moon Vs. Dakota Kai

Grade: B

With Ember’s star shining brighter in recent weeks, she faces a potential hurdle in the form of Dakota Kai. Moon began the match with armbars, later transitioning into attacks in the corner. Kai eventually gained the advantage by using constricting submissions and targeting the shoulder. Ember returned to form with a stunner and reached equal ground before implementing a brutal crossface.

Towards the conclusion, Raquel Gonzales would provide a distraction. Dakota Kai then utilized a GTK from the top rope to secure the victory.

This match was technically sound, with both competitors exploiting respective weaknesses through submissions before picking up the pace mid-match with strikes and slams. Ember Moon seemed to have the match won and prepared for the Eclipse, but Kai relied on her muscle to continue her path of destruction.

Cameron Grimes Vs. Kushida

Grade: B

Kushida looks to extend his tremendous winning streak as of late against the unsettled Cameron Grimes. Grimes began the match by avoiding Kushida in the corner, although the latter would constrict him in a series of headlocks. Grimes assumed control in a short burst until Kushida slowed the pace once more by then focusing on the arm.

In the climax of the contest, the two opponents accidentally knocked out the official in a corner collision. Kushida would then unleash an armbar and cause Grimes to submit. Following the inclusion of a “zombie referee” from the previous week, a terrified Grimes would submit to a final armbar from his opponent.

Cameron Grimes’ psychological wounds proved to be his downfall in this contest, with him attempting to dodge his opponent’s offense and attempt reckless attacks of his own. Kushida would take full advantage for the duration and maintain composure en route to victory.

Killian Dain and Drake Maverick Vs. EverRise

Grade: C

The dysfunctional team of Killian Dain and Drake Maverick once again went against EverRise. The duo would commence the match with quick tag team moves, later losing the advantage. Parker and Martel then isolated Maverick in their corner with frequent tags and substantial individual offense.

Towards the conclusion, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch attacked both teams to conclude the match in a no contest. Pat McAfee would record the action in the corner as the new stable took a valiant stand.

This brief contest predominantly featured EverRise’s dominant camaraderie and Dain/Maverick’s never-say-die combat methods. But alas, an unexpected factor once again derailed the momentum for both teams in the coming weeks.

Shotzi Blackheart Vs. Toni Storm

Grade: A

Shotzi Blackheart was granted a huge match against Toni Storm after a wildly successful night as the host of Halloween Havoc. Blackheart immediately ran in the ring and looked to quickly dismantle her opponent, only for Toni to gain control with elbow strikes. Storm looked to make an example of her rival as she frequently targeted the head and left little chance for recovery.

In the closing moments, Candice LeRae appeared on the titantron with Shotzi’s tank to distract her. Toni then implemented a quick rollup to put away her opponent.

In a contest worthy of the hype, Toni Storm used a combination of heavy strikes and speed to keep the unpredictable Blackheart down. When it seemed like her opponent just wouldn’t give up, LeRae provided an unexpected edge to help the Lightning Down Under secure the victory.

Tommaso Ciampa Vs. Velveteen Dream

Grade: A

Following two cast strikes that cost the Blackheart major wins, Tommaso Ciampa gets his hands on the Velveteen Dream in the main event. Ciampa commenced the match with vicious headlocks while attempting to expose Dream’s injured arm. Dream continued to roll out of the ring only to receive significant punishment from the plexiglass and the announcer’s table.

In the climax of the contest, Tommasso would hit the Willow’s Bell and Fairytale Ending for a hard-fought victory.

The Blackheart showed absolutely no mercy in this match, taking pleasure in destroying his opponent’s arm and using the outside environment to his full advantage. Dream would gain some breathing room towards the end by raking the eyes and dishing out major punishment, but could answer for his opponent’s devastating offense and exceptional speed.
