WWE Royal Rumble 2021 Full Match Card Predictions

Sami Zayn (c) vs. Kevin Owens [Intercontinental Championship]
Assuming Sami Zayn retains the Intercontinental Championship all the way to WWE Royal Rumble 2021, his opponent will be his best friend, Kevin Owens. This is not like John Cena vs. Randy Orton from the late 2000s. This is not like Tomasso Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano in NXT. When Zayn and Owens wrestle, the fans want to see them fight forever.
On the main. roster, Zayn and Owens battled on PPV twice: WWE Payback 2016 and WWE Battleground 2016. They each won one match apiece. This road to WrestleMania would be a perfect time to complete the trilogy and add an extra element to their long-standing rivalry. Since Owens got the upper hand in NXT, Zayn will get the upper hand now.
Prediction: Sami Zayn
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Keith Lee [United States Championship]
Assuming Bobby Lashley retains the United States Championship against Riddle at WWE TLC 2020 and holds onto it all the way to this year’s Royal Rumble event, his opponent will be Keith Lee. When Lee made his way to the main roster, many fans expected him to be booked as a main event player, especially after defeating a top star in Randy Orton at WWE Payback 2020.
However, that does not seem to be the case anymore. Instead, as can be indicated by the frequent non-finishes to his matches and his most recent loss to the Universal Championship’s Plan B, Braun Strowman, Keith Lee is now being booked as a mid card performer. Henceforth, he will be the one to dethrone Lashley so that he can build himself back up for the main event scene.
