Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn [Mid Card Champions Brand War]

Mark Justice: While Bobby Lashley has a significant advantage in physique, Sami Zayn has a significant advantage in craftiness. While Lashley has proven his advantage through his dominant victories, Zayn has proven his advantage through his nefarious victories (e.g. using handcuffs to win the Intercontinental Championship and using exposed turnbuckle steel to retain it).

One could make the argument that Zayn will have something else up his sleeve. For example, his former allies, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura, who have nothing planned for the PPV so far, could have a change of heart and help Zayn neutralize Alexander and Benjamin at ringside. However, Vince does not think anyone cares about the IC Title anyways, so Lashley will win by default.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley (2-1)

Kevin Parvizi: For the longest time, I thought that Sami Zayn would drop the Intercontinental Title to Daniel Bryan before the Survivor Series Pay Per View, but I don’t see that happening anymore. It looks like Zayn, as the Champion of the People, will head into the show with the IC Title and get squashed by Bobby Lashley.

Because make no mistake, no matter who Lashley faces, he is winning this match. Lashley is one of the biggest stars on Raw, and he basically feels like a world champion holding the United States Champion. With the weight of the entire Hurt Business behind him, Lashley looks like a man who is not losing a match for a long, long time.

The question, for me, is how long would Zayn last? This match could be the shortest of the night if it goes ahead.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley (2-1)
