Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown [Men’s Survivor Series Match]

Team Raw: AJ Styles, Keith Lee, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, Riddle

Team SmackDown: Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, King Corbin, Big E

Mark Justice: AJ Styles needs this win to solidify his new alliance with his bodyguard. Sheamus seems to be slated for a future feud with Drew McIntyre, so he needs this win too. Keith Lee needs to redeem himself from his loss to Reigns at last year Men’s Survivor Series Match by defeating Reigns’ lackey, Jey Uso, and becoming the sole survivor for this match.

As for Strowman and Riddle, they have nothing to lose. However, the fact that three out of five members of this team needs victories would warrant a victory for Team Raw. With the exception of Big E (who has not qualified yet), the official members of Team SmackDown do not really need wins, especially when pertaining to Rollins who is on his way out.

As Styles mentioned on Raw, they will eventually gain respect for each other after fighting so much. Meanwhile, the same cannot be said for Team SmackDown. While Owens and Rollins already have a tumultuous history and irreparable relationship, Owens now has beef with Jey Uso. Rollins has too many outside distractions with Murphy and the Mysterio’s.

Like Rollins will probably do as the SmackDown’s Savior, Corbin will piss someone off by condescendingly assuring that everyone ‘falls in line.’ There’s no way Team SmackDown will be as capable of gaining respect for each other. It’s a complete mess with that team, and it would be a miracle if they won. Team Raw got this in the bag.

Sole Survivor(s): AJ Styles, Sheamus, and Keith Lee

Prediction: Team Raw (3-3)

Kevin Parvizi: To the surprise of nobody, this five-on-five Survivor Series match is all about dysfunction. Which team can manage to stay together just long enough to get the win and avoid absolutely imploding?

And my answer to that question is that it will be SmackDown. There are a lot of egos who can clash, specifically Seth Rollins and King Corbin. And then Kevin Owens and Jey Uso have their own issues now, thanks to Roman Reigns.

I still think SmackDown wins, even though Raw is basically telegraphing a victory by having such obvious fractures already. But I have to make some picks different from you, and I also think that this Pay Per View will be SmackDown’s to dominate. I believe the loss will lead to Raw having some sort of a coming-together afterward where they kayfabe talk about improving a show that needs to improve in reality. Or maybe that is my own wistful thinking.

Whatever the case, I believe SmackDown will win and Jey Uso will have another massive performance.

Sole Survivor(s): Jey Uso

Prediction: Team SmackDown (2-4)
