A Free “Draft Pick”

This could be a wide variety of different possibilities for the booking of Raw or SmackDown.

We’ve seen in the past, the “wildcard” rule as well as the “quarterly superstar appearances” that have randomly shown up on WWE programming, so why not make something like that mean something?

In this instance, a stipulation could be implemented that the winning brand or superstar would have the ability to “draft” any superstar of their choice to their respective brand. For example, if Big E were to pick up a win for Team SmackDown, he would have the ability to draft Xavier Woods or Kofi Kingston back to SmackDown. This could lead to some wild and unpredictable actions on the following Raw or SmackDown and it definitely adds some steam leading out of the pay-per-view and encourages viewers to continue watching WWE programming to see what happens next.

Not only that, but with the recent mess between Tucker and Otis feuding despite being on different brands, a superstar could demand that they have “unfinished business” with someone on the other brand and have them drafted over to continue their feud. Let’s just hope this would never happen with the never ending Mysterio/Rollins/Murphy feud…
