2. The Fiend comes looking for payback

Since appearing as The Fiend for the first time at SummerSlam last year – members of the WWE Universe have compared him to Taker.

They both are mythical characters, they seem impervious to pain, and they play mind games with their opponents.

Recently The Fiend hinted at targeting Taker. WWE posted a tweet claiming The Deadman had faced every superstar during his illustrious career – the former Universal Champion replied by stating Taker has not stood across the ring with him yet.

Technically this is true – Taker did defeat Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31 however this incarnation of Wyatt is a different proposition.

The Fiend has taken aim at wrestlers that have beaten him in the past – most notably John Cena. He lost to The Face That Runs The Place at WrestleMania at 30 but got revenge at this year’s show – he could take a similar path to gain revenge against Taker.

This could be a real passing of the torch moment – Taker has old-school wrestling values, he knows that you should lose your last match. Him putting The Fiend over, at 2021’s Showcase of the Immortals, as the new force in the WWE would do wonders for Wyatt’s career – it would take him to another level. The Fiend is one of the most dangerous men in WWE – what an achievement it would be if he puts the final nail in the legend’s coffin.
