WWE Survivor Series 2020: 5 possible scenarios for The Undertaker
1. Sting appears, he challenges The Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania 37
What a sight it would be if Taker is finishing his promo – listing everything he has accomplished in his WWE career, then the ThunderDome lights go off, we hear a crow sound, the lights come back on with Sting making his way to the ring.
The Icon says Taker has done it all, in the WWE, except face him, and makes a challenge for WrestleMania 37. Both of these legends made their first appearance for the company at Survivor Series – imagine if their only match against each other is made at the same pay-per-view. WrestleMania is in five months, that seems like a long way, but remember The Rock and John Cena had a year build for their match – Taker and Sting could past time from now until the Show of Shows.
Sting claimed he is retired but also hinted on Twitter in June – about having “one last ride”, which is also the name of one of Taker’s signature moves. The Stinger is willing to wrestle again – during an interview with Sports Illustrated, last year, he said “If there was a Taker situation at WrestleMania, I would listen to that call. I could get in condition, I could pull it off”.
It is clear the former six-time WCW Champion wants to face Taker, plus the WWE Universe has clamored for this match for years – it is one of the biggest “what if’s” left in professional wrestling.
Both men are advancing in years – a Cinematic Match would be safe, easy to navigate through, and would fit into both of their dark gimmicks.
Time is running out for this to happen – Sunday is the perfect opportunity to set the wheels in motion.
