Keith Lee and Drew McIntyre finally collide

Keith Lee called out Drew McIntyre for interfering in his matches, because McIntyre wanted to get one over on Randy Orton during the feud for the WWE Championship.

When Lee first debuted on Raw, he was immediately placed in the main event spotlight, and that was absolutely the right decision to make. If WWE wasn’t going to go all-in on Lee as a double-champion on NXT, then the only suitable course of action was giving him a sustained push on Monday Night Raw.

Lee’s push has cooled, but I’m not worried about it. I think WWE are waiting until his new music and until he can take center stage with a more sustained build towards his role at WrestleMania. And that role could include a headlining match against Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title.

McIntyre and Lee are destined to collide. Just look at their interactions backstage. They have what I would like to call a respectful tension. Both men understand the greatness in the other and have a cautious friendship, but that would easily fall apart into a personal feud with a spark lit and the title on the line.

Lee should win the WWE Championship in 2021, and I think he is a strong candidate to win the Men’s Royal Rumble, though Big E and the Fiend seem to be the favorites.
