Jeff Hardy

Edge and Christian vs The Hardy Boyz defined tag team wrestling in the 2000s, and showcased some of the best matches of all time. Only one of each tag team managed to conquer the WWE title, Edge and Jeff Hardy, with Christian winning the World Heavyweight title and Matt Hardy the resurrected yet still somewhat dead ECW World title.

Now, the same two remain the only ones left in WWE as active wrestlers, and heading into the show of shows fans still want one more title run for Jeff Hardy before he goes. Edge went to war with Hardy over the World Heavyweight title before and it would be great to see them clash for WWE championship at WrestleMania.

This scenario would see Edge beat Orton in a rubber match for the title at Royal Rumble, have a Smackdown superstar win the Royal Rumble (Big E maybe) and Hardy defy all odds in an Elimination Chamber match for number one contender.  Allowing us to see Edge enter WWE WrestleMania 37 as champion just as he did against Del Rio ten years prior.

In terms of stipulation, keep it a classic singles match or have the stipulation back where it started, a ladder match. In either sense, we should see Hardy go over Edge and capture what will probably be his last WWE title against someone he has so much history, and can see Edge not over give Hardy the rub but also go on after Mania unphased by the limitations of the WWE title.
