WWE: The 6 Best Promos That Took Place In 2020
By Dorathy Gass
Jey Uso and Roman Reigns
What an incredible storyline that continues to unfold between these two cousins. Heel Roman has blown me away, and mixing their family history and roots within this storyline has been amazing. Things continue to evolve with Jey and Roman, but it’s hard not to be captivated by this October 2nd promo. You can literally witness Uso’s spirit slowly crumble, as Tribal Chief Reigns tries to exuberate his dominance within the WWE and the Anoa’i family. My eyes were glued to the television set.
The Fiend, Alexa Bliss, and Randy Orton Dance
They’re just diving into a program; however, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton have a history. Still, Orton has yet to clash with “The Fiend”, so this rivalry should be an interesting one. Both happen to be fantastic when cutting promos, and with Alexis Bliss in the mix, this is sure to be a solid feud. The WWE Universe just watched these events unfold, but with everything these three have done this year in terms of matches and promos, they certainly deserve a nod on this list.
Plus, extra points for Bliss’ little girl creepiness persona and Orton’s refusal around being intimated by Wyatt’s monster character. Orton has found a weakness for The Fiend, and the key is his new BFF, Alexa. Roles have been reversed, and now Orton is the hunter, and the Fiend is the hunted. This should be interesting.
