Raw Women’s Championship Match: Asuka (c) vs. Lacey Evans (w/ Ric Flair)

In recent weeks, we’ve seen odd tensions as Ric Flair has made the seemingly nonsense decision to align himself with Lacey Evans and actively cost his daughter Charlotte Flair several matches. That continued this week as Evans pushed forward the idea that, should she be able to defeat Charlotte in a match, it would put her next in line to take on the Raw Women’s Champion Asuka.

Well, that’s exactly what happened. Evans took on Charlotte, and thanks to the actions of Evans and Ric, Charlotte lost control and unleashed a flurry so insane the referee chose to disqualify her. A win is a win, and now Evans sets her sights on Raw Women’s Champion Asuka at Elimination Chamber. Of course, don’t be surprised if Charlotte makes her presence felt here as well.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus

The first match that got announced for this year’s event is the one that gives Elimination Chamber its name, and Shane McMahon made a surprising return at the beginning of WWE Raw to help reveal that Drew McIntyre will be forced to defend his title against five former champions one week from Sunday. Those opponents will include AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, The Miz, Randy Orton, and Sheamus.

That final entrant was furious about the announcement, as Sheamus wanted Drew McIntyre in a one-on-one match at Elimination Chamber. Unfortunately, that’s not what he’s getting. This will be chaotic as most Elimination Chamber matches are, but it should be fun and will set the stage as WrestleMania looms on the horizon.
