4. Randy Orton

I know it sounds bizarre to have 14-time world champion Randy Orton ranked outside the top half of the competitors in this Elimination Chamber match, but I seriously consider him a “red herring” in this match.

There are still people tweeting about Orton vs. Edge happening at WrestleMania 37. After Edge beat Orton on the episode of Raw after his Royal Rumble victory, that ship has quite clearly sailed. I doubt very many fans want to see that match again. They peaked at Backlash last year, and that needs to be the lasting “big match” memory of their story.

If Orton wins, who does he face besides Edge? It won’t be McIntyre again either, that’s for sure. So Bray Wyatt as a redemption of WrestleMania 33? That actually intrigues my interest, but not nearly as much as, say, Edge vs. AJ Styles or Drew vs. Sheamus.

3. Sheamus

I would honestly love to see a Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre world title match, as it’s been awesome seeing them tag together and in a storyline together. Their backstage interactions have been brilliant, serving as a reminder to fans of just how talented Sheamus is. You know, in case they quickly forgot the elite work he was doing with Cesaro as one-half of The Bar.

Sheamus vs. McIntyre could still happen at WrestleMania 37 as a world title match, and it’s telling that we haven’t actually seen them in a one-on-one match despite all of their interactions and despite Sheamus turning on McIntyre by saying the title means more than their friendship.

So this match really could happen. I know it’s bold to say that Sheamus has a better chance of winning than Randy Orton, but I believe it. Sheamus vs. McIntyre is compelling.
