As of the Feb. 12 episode of WWE SmackDown, Seth Rollins is officially back.

The former WWE and Universal Champion made his long-awaited return to television on this past Friday’s show, and WWE made sure to give him the star treatment.

Throughout the broadcast, WWE played clips highlighting Rollins’ greatest in-ring achievements, and when the time came for “The Architect” to appear in person, the entire SmackDown roster surrounded the ring to commemorate his arrival.

When Rollins finally showed up, he surprisingly didn’t come out to his “Messiah” entrance music, but rather his “Burn It Down” theme that is more synonymous with his most recent babyface run. Even stranger, when Rollins started his return promo, he sounded like a rejuvenated protagonist that found some perspective during his time away from the squared circle.

However, this was all a ruse, as Rollins eventually rambled on about being a locker room leader, which led to the wresters filing away from the ring one by one — even the heels.

Here are five opponents that could be in Seth Rollins’ immediate future.

With Rollins clearly back in a heel role, he’ll have plenty of opponents to choose from on the SmackDown side. Of the names on that lengthy list, these five stand out.
