Bobby Lashley is the current United States Champion, and as The Allmighty, he knows a thing or two about dominating his opponents between the ropes. The former mixed martial artist is impactful in his work, but he hasn’t had the right opponents to prove his caliber. Lashley’s return to WWE raised the inevitable question of whether he would face Brock Lesnar in the dream match. WWE’s lackluster storylines and COVID-19 put the inspiration to this match to rest, and it seems like this Hurt Business member will work through the ranks to uplift new superstars that have made their way to the main roster.

Now that we talk about the new superstars on the main roster Matt Riddle is one performer that caught everyone’s attention when The Ultimate Bro stated that he wanted to retire Lesnar. Lesnar denied Riddle’s wishes and they’ve yet to face each other in the ring. It all changed when Riddle and Lashley crossed paths, and this storyline has developed into a state where these were destined to meet for the United States title.

Lashley will be fighting two opponents at once, and while Riddle is one of them, the other one is Keith Lee, who has continued to impress whenever he steps into the ring. Lee was a fan favorite ever since he moved to the main roster, but he hasn’t received the type of push some expected. Coming off the double-title run in NXT, it seemed like he was destined for more on the main roster. Adding him to the feud between Riddle and Lashley creates an opportunity to put his first main roster singles title around his waist.

The three superstars in the match have unique styles as Lashley is all about his strength while Lee combines agility and power in his in-ring work and Matt Riddle compliments it with his ability to fly high between the ropes. These accolades make you excited for the match, but think of what would transpire if the champion lost the title at this time. WrestleMania is happening five weeks from this show, and it would take a lot of effort to build a new champion at this time. On the other hand, if Bobby Lashley retains the title and escalates his storyline in the coming weeks, we may see a better outcome at The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
