AEW has continued to find ways to bring in the talent that fans want to see and Christian Cage was added to the list with his debut at AEW Revolution.

Paul Wight shocked everyone when he signed with All Elite Wrestling, but the surprises did not end there. During his first interview, he mentioned another “Hall of Fame” worthy talent is headed to AEW and will make their presence known at AEW Revolution. Speculation surged during the week, but the announcement that came on Sunday was surprising as Christian Cage walked through the AEW tunnel to let the wrestling world know he is here.

It did not take long to recognize who it was as Cage came out to his old TNA music. Cage did not say anything, as he picked up the contract and signed on the dotted line while standing in the middle of the ring.

Cage, who was last seen in the Royal Rumble in January, has been out of professional wrestling since 2014. Serious issues with concussions kept him from being cleared by WWE, bringing what many thoughts was an end to his career. However, just like Edge did in 2020, Cage made a surprise return in the Rumble to start off 2021.

Cage is the latest name on the list of wrestlers who have returned to an active roster after injuries pushed them out of the ring. He was also the third big surprise on this card that included the introduction of Ethan Page to AEW and Maki Itoh’s addition to the opening tag team match.
