WWE Raw Predictions: Drew McIntyre Will Team Up With Sheamus

2.) Asuka (c) vs. Peyton Royce [Raw Women’s Championship]
On last week’s Raw Talk, Peyton Royce voiced out that her potential haunts her and that she is impatient with her booking or lack thereof on WWE Raw. She ended her promo by enunciating that she wants a title opportunity against Asuka. This promo received a lot of buzz online, so it is very likely that WWE will capitalize on this and book Royce in a title match with Asuka on this episode of WWE Raw so that Royce can prove herself on the road to WrestleMania..
In December 2020, Peyton Royce was actually on the WWE Writers’ list of underutilized talents that could shine if given the proper opportunity. The WWE should give her a chance to shine, and a strong showing in a title match with Asuka would do her many favors in her journey as a singles competitor. Nonetheless, it is unlikely that Royce will win the title because the plan still seems to be Asuka vs. Charlotte at Mania.
Prediction: Asuka
1.) Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus [WWE Championship #1C Match: Last Man Standing]
On last week’s WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus’ No Disqualification Match ended in a referee stoppage. It has been rumored that they will battle in a Last Man Standing Match to determine the number one contender for Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship. If this number one contender’s match determines Lashley’s WrestleMania opponent, it would make sense for McIntyre to defeat Sheamus and try to win the WWE Championship back from Lashley.
Alternatively, this match could end in a tie, in which both superstars will not able to get up at the count of 10. If McIntyre and Sheamus both cannot get up at the count of 10, they would have so much respect for each other that they could become a tag team and instead challenge Lashley’s allies, Alexander and Benjamin, for the Raw Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania. That way, McIntyre can still win a title in front of fans without jeopardizing Lashley’s title reign. Stay tuned.
Prediction: Tie
