WrestleMania tickets go on sale Friday, March 19
Tickets for WrestleMania are set to launch on Friday, March 19. This comes after a brief pause in the initial plan that was to see tickets go on sale this past Tuesday, March 16.
Information about the number of planned attendances has yet to be confirmed. Multiple reports came out last week that the WWE was looking to have 45,000 people in attendance both nights. This would make WrestleMania the largest, in-person event since the outbreak of COVID-19 which pushed the wrestling industry and the world to a screeching halt. There is word that the WWE is currently going back-and-forth about using cardboard cutouts in the crowd, much like those that were used during the Super Bowl in February.
According to Jon Alba, the event will be held to a capacity of 25,000 fans both nights. Masks are required at all times, with seating in pods and social distancing.
There are concerns about the rush to have large in-person events as the sports and entertainment industries look to return to business. In similar news, UFC President Dana White announced that UFC 261 will be in front of a full house at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on April 24. This venue seats 15,000 people. These concerns grow as the WWE is continuing to have issues with COVID-19 within their own facilities as recently as this week.
Ticket prices for WrestleMania range from $35-$2,500 and can be purchased on Ticketmaster. WrestleMania is scheduled for April 10 and April 11, with multiple matches, announced including Bobby Lashley versus Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns versus Edge, and Sasha Banks versus Bianca Belair
