Kylie Rae to face Thunder Rosa in wrestling return

An incredibly popular independent wrestling star will return from retirement in June.

Seven months ago the former AEW and Impact wrestling performer known in the world of professional wrestling as Kylie Rae officially announced her retirement from professional wrestling in 2020 after she failed to appear at an Impact Wrestling PPV, Bound For Glory.

Following her absence from the PPV and subsequent television tapings and amid rampant rumors about her health and safety, Rae announced her retirement and removed all of her public profiles from social media. It seems that a Smiley Kylie return is not only likely, or expected, but actually happening.

Announced by the Warrior Wrestling Twitter account as part of the promotion for their returning and wildly successful Stadium series. Kylie Rae will be returning to the world of professional wrestling to defend her Warrior Wrestling championship against AEW star Thunder Rosa when the stadium series returns to Fite.tv on June 9th.

Rae, who was voted as the 19th best Women’s wrestler in the world and the 76th best wrestler overall by Pro Wrestling Illustrated has not spoken publicly since her retirement about her mental health and injury status, two factors widely believed to have contributed to her decision to retire.

Rae is no stranger to rumor and speculation in the world of professional wrestling. The AEW original set the internet ablaze with speculation when she unceremoniously requested her release from All Elite Wrestling just weeks after the company debuted on TNT with AEW: Dynamite in 2019.

Rosa and Rae worked together on the independent circuit through the southern united states together before Rosa signed with Ring Of Honor, the National Wrestling Alliance, and most recently All Elite Wrestling. They have not worked with one another in the ring since 2018.

As of press time, neither Kylie Rae nor Thunder Rosa has made public comments about the upcoming match.
