When it comes to the most popular wrestlers in the WWE in 2021, Edge is at the top of that list. After his 58 minutes and 30 seconds in the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble win Edge punched his ticket to Wrestlemania. When Edge made his return at the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble, who would have thought a year later, we would still be talking about the legendary superstar.

Edge returning after nine years is the best storyline in professional wrestling today. Edge is known for being in classic gimmick matches such as Ladder matches, TLC, and Hardcore matches, but Edge has been in single classic matches with some of WWE’s best wrestlers. In 2020 Edge put on a series of matches with Randy Orton that was considered to be some of the best moments in professional wrestling. In this article, I will be discussing the five must-see Edge matches you should watch.

5. Edge Vs. John Cena – Unforgiven (2006)

The rivalry between Edge and John Cena in 2006 was the feud that made both of these wrestler’s careers. This was a feud between two wrestlers who you truly believed hated each other. Edge and Cena needed each other to get to the next level. Edge and Cena would clash in a series of matches in 2006, but it was the match at Unforgiven that made this one of Edge’s best matches of his career.

The Edge Vs. John Cena rivalry is one of the best feuds in WWE history that doesn’t get the credit it truly deserves. Edge was the first person ever to use the Money in the Bank cash-in, and that was on John Cena. Edge cashed on Cena when he was having a historic WWE title run as champion. It was the feud with Cena when Edge indeed became The rated R superstar. The match at Unforgiven was one of the best TLC matches between two wrestlers.

4. Edge Vs. Mick Foley – WrestleMania 22 (2006)

Edge vs. Mick Foley was a feud that was based on Edge blaming Foley on his failed attempts to becoming a two-time WWE champion. This was the best match at WrestleMania 22. Both men would put their bodies on the line in one of the greatest hardcore matches at WrestleMania. This match is known for the moment when Edge speared Foley through a flaming table to win the match. This was the match that showed the world that Edge could go to Foley world and come out the winner.

3. Edge Vs. Undertaker, WrestleMania 2008

On last year’s WWE Network series talking about The Undertaker’s career, Edge discussed his match with The Undertaker. This was a huge honor for Edge to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania because that meant that Undertaker respected him enough to give him a chance to break the streak. When it comes to the big title, aka the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, this was one of the best storylines that the title was featured in. This is a must-watch match because there were times in the match where it felt like Edge was going to win.

2.Edge Vs. Kurt Angle (Judgement Day 2002)

This match is known for being the last match that Kurt had hair. This match was one year after breaking away from Christian for Edge. Edge was still establishing himself as a single star, and the feud with Kurt angle helped him get to the next level. This was WWE’s best hair vs. hair match, and Edge delivered in a fantastic match with one of the greatest wrestlers ever.

1. Edge Vs. Eddie Guerrero – Smackdown (September 26, 2002)

The Smackdown six was one of the greatest moments in professional wrestling because it made Smackdown a must-watch television. Two of the six was Edge, and the legendary Eddie Guerrero met in a No disqualification match on Smackdown. The two met for the third time after Edge won at the Summerslam and Eddie won at Unforgiven. When it comes to Eddie anyone who steps in the ring with him will always want to put on a good match. This is one of the best matches in the history of Smackdown and defiantly a must-watch match if you have never seen it.
