4.) Cesaro vs. Buddy Murphy [Grudge Match]

On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in a Fastlane 2021 rematch. After the match, Cesaro swung Rollins in the backstage area. Since Rollins gained some momentum against Cesaro’s supposed “lackey”, it would make sense for Cesaro to defeat Seth Rollins’ supposed “lackey”, Buddy Murphy, who has been adamantly challenging Aleister Black to a match at this year’s WrestleMania.

Murphy has had a lot of history with Black. They battled in a series of matches on WWE Raw, and Black’s continuous victories over Murphy was a primary reason why Murphy ended up in Seth Rollins’ discipleship in the first place. Maybe one more match with Black will be the reason Murphy gets out of Seth Rollins’ discipleship. If WrestleMania is truly the promised land for Murphy, his career could experience a resurgence that helps everyone forget about that Mysterio storyline.

Prediction: Cesaro

3.) King Corbin vs. Kevin Owens [Grudge Match]

Our Chris Jeter expressed how the Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn feud with the roles flipped should be fun a few days ago. However, the involvement of Logan Paul could change his and other fans’ perspective on how fun this feud could actually turn out on The Grandest Stage of them All. Two weeks ago, King Corbin defeated Sami Zayn while Kevin Owens watched on commentary. It is expected that he will do the same to Owens on this episode of SmackDown.

King Corbin needs this victory as a momentum booster for his inevitable match against Drew McIntyre on next week’s WWE Raw. He helped Bobby Lashley take out McIntyre in order to get a title opportunity. However, he may have to do a little more than an ambush to finish the deed. Henceforth, he will need this win over Owens to actually be seen as a credible threat to McIntyre on the last Raw before Mania.

Prediction: King Corbin
