Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre

Bobby Lashley was Drew McIntyre’s first challenger on Pay Per View last year at Backlash after the Chosen One won the WWE Title at WrestleMania 36. And now we’ve come full circle in 2021 with McIntyre, a two-time WWE Champion, looking to take his title back against Lashley.

There are some interesting loose ends to tie up with regards to the Hurt Business’ shocking, frustrating break-up, and you can count me as one of those people holding out hope that this is all just one big swerve to fool Drew at ‘Mania.

What I can say is that this match will be hard-hitting and exciting, just as last year’s encounter between Lashley and McIntyre was. Seeing Lashley reigning supreme on Monday Night Raw is like a dream come true, and it’s honestly ridiculous he didn’t win the title sooner. But he’s the champion now, and I hope fans relish this reign.

Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins

There isn’t a more compelling non-title feud at WWE WrestleMania 37 than this one. Cesaro may finally be on the road to winning a world title, and the journey could start with a win over Seth Rollins, who recently reminded us on SmackDown that he has quite the WrestleMania resume. The Heist of the Century? Slaying the Beast? Slaying the King? Winning the IC Title? Rollins has accomplished a lot at the Show of Shows.

This match is a potential show-stealer, noting the athleticism and experience of both top-class pro wrestlers. Rollins and Cesaro could be strong candidates to open Night 1 and set the tone for the rest of the weekend. I’m looking forward to Cesaro winning, but, most of all, I’m looking forward to the athletic feats and the storytelling/drama around a certain “Swing”.

Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Edge

We move over to Night 2, where I have been enthralled by the Universal Title picture. Daniel Bryan has indeed earned the right to be in this match by tapping out Roman Reigns. But Edge has made some great points about how he feels robbed. We’re seeing the “Real” Edge about a year after his incredible return at Royal Rumble 2020, and that makes this Triple Threat all the more exciting.

In terms of drama and storytelling, I would say this Triple Threat sits at the top of the list. It will surely main event Night 2 – but not just because Roman is champion. It has all the ingredients of being a great WrestleMania ending, including if it ends up being a cliffhanger.
