All Elite Wrestling is getting a special attendee this Wednesday as former boxing world champion, Mike Tyson, is set to appear at AEW Dynamite. The news was released on Tuesday via a press release from AEW and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted the message.

Tyson was last seen in AEW back at Double or Nothing in May of 2020 where he was involved in a storyline with Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle. When he appeared on the show, he was not the only combat sports champion along for the ride as former UFC champions Rashad Evans and Henry Cejudo were also in tow.

“Mike Tyson always commands a massive ovation and the attention of fans worldwide,” said Tony Khan, CEO, ME, and Head of Creative for AEW. “I’m excited for everyone here in Jacksonville, and for those watching on TNT and around the world, to see what Mike Tyson has in store for AEW.”

Tyson has a storied legacy in the world of professional wrestling. Fans will remember that he dropped Shawn Michaels with a stiff hook after presenting to be a part of Degeneration X after Michaels dropped the WWE title to Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIV. Jericho also felt his power while a part of the WWE, suffering the same result as Michaels during an angle years later.
