As if 2021 wasn’t already a great time to be an All Elite Wrestling (AEW) fan, the company and their network partners at Turner Broadcasting gave them more reasons for excitement yesterday, as the media company announced that, among other things pertaining to the promotion, it will add another hour of first-run AEW programming to its family of networks.

This second show, titled Rampage will premiere on Aug. 13 and will air every Friday thereafter at 10:00 p.m. (thus making SmackDown an unwitting lead-in for plenty of wrestling fans who enjoy WWE and AEW). This, of course, leads us to the obvious question…

What should AEW’s upcoming show, Rampage, feature?

Will we see an hour of Dynamite recaps? Will it be an hour of straight wrestling? Should fans expect to see nothing but Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks standing at an arcade cabinet playing the Rampage video game? Did Turner secure this timeslot just to show that GIF of “Rampage” Jackson ripping a door off its hinges on an endless loop?

We won’t have the answers to these questions until the show finally airs. Until then, let’s focus on what AEW should feature on the show to differentiate it from its other programs without it being too far removed from the overall tone of the product.
