Aleister Black returned to SmackDown to attack the former Intercontinental Champion Big E. The fans wondered what inspired The Striking Man From Amsterdam to hit a superstar with no prior history within the ropes. Big E is a former SmackDown Tag Team Champion and a former Intercontinental Champion, but he has never fought with Black. Black had a different character when he was last on TV, and his new vignettes started showing up in April of this year. It did state that there will be a change in his approach, but no one expected this to be the next step.

It is undeniable that Aleister has the skills, but he never got the opportunity when he first made it to the main roster. The Harbinger of Fury started as a tag team partner to Ricochet, but it soon changed into a feud with Buddy Murphy. He is a former NXT Champion which speaks about his skills between the ropes, but he hasn’t got the opportunity that he deserves. With a new character and a new approach, is The Anti-Hero ready for the push he always needed? It is a question that needs answering, but we think Black is back to fight with someone big enough on the SmackDown roster, and Big E is the right target.

Big E is a fan-favorite superstar, and he worked in a mundane story since losing his Intercontinental Championship to Apollo Crews. Apollo Crews, on the other hand, has gained a lot of value due to Big E. It does seem like Daniel Bryan picked the right person for the push, and it is paying off. Aleister needs a credible opponent to build his new character and newfound aggression, and this feud with Big E may be the way to do so.

Big E is a former champion, while Black has never held a championship on the main roster. The New Day Member helped elevate superstars, and it’s about time that he puts his effort into picking up Black from his current situation and help his career. Black and E are people of contrasting personalities, and this makes the story great because it’s like watching The Undertaker vs Mick Foley. The hardcore legend feared nothing, and Taker had a darker shade to his character, similar to Aleister Black.

The two were ready to tear the house down, and it looks like WWE may have hit the jackpot by putting them against each other. Big E has given storylines that had a story for all to enjoy, and it seems like we are on the verge of watching another similar story because these two can deliver on the mic and between the ropes. Big E needs to rise to the Universal Championship status, and this feud will help him substantiate his situation.

It would force WWE to pick on Big E as their next face, and with live crowds returning to TV soon, expect nothing but support to both the superstars. The two possess a style that the fans like, so there will be no detractors if WWE goes all-in in this storyline. Black vs E weekly will still be entertaining and a perfect example of why WWE’s blue brand is doing way better than the flagship show. WWE needs new superstars that they can count on, and it looks like SmackDown is delivering it with all its power. A feud between E and Black is one that the fans would love to witness, and it is a win-win situation for the company and the fans. WWE didn’t show these two between the ropes or on the mic this week, which is a miss, but the encounter is inevitable.
