This Memorial Day we salute the Men and Women in uniforms that serve our nation.

WWE superstars didn’t always start as a wrestler when they first began their career. Some superstars picked up desk jobs while others decided to serve the nation with vigor. WWE has a soft spot for the men and women in uniform, and they display it on several occasions. WWE provides entertainment to the troops stationed in the States and worldwide. WWE has traveled places to entertain these individuals while they are away from their families. The company started a show titled ‘WWE Tribute to the Troops’ on Christmas Day in 2003, and it is an ongoing thing that the company does to this day.

2020’s pandemic couldn’t hinder the WWE’s plans of entertaining the people that serve the red, white and blue. It was a stellar show, and with the presence of some WWE veterans that have been on the other side of the service, they understand the importance of this service.

Some WWE superstars had the opportunity to experience a soldier’s life before they decided to switch to wrestling to entertain the millions of people protecting the honor, dignity, and right of every American. Without further ado, let’s list down five superstars that have served the nation, and if you have some other names, chime in.

Bobby Lashley

The All-Mighty is a former US Military veteran and served the country after his college days. The Dominator showed his wrestling skills as he was in service of the country and continued his legacy from the amateur wrestling days at college. He planned to participate in the 2003 Olympic games, but he couldn’t be in it due to a knee injury.

His father was also a part of the US army in the position of a drill sergeant. Lashley has shown his immense strength on various occasions, and it would be nice to see whom he faces at WWE’s Hell In A Cell. Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre pose a credible threat to the champion, but he knows how to even the odds.

Montez Ford

Montez Ford may come across as a fun-loving, and laid-back guy, but he wasn’t always this way. The former Marine Corps veteran served the country as he traveled on the water to safeguard our borders and life. He knows a thing or two about keeping people entertained, and it speaks a lot about his character.

While Ford cannot plan how his character or career will go on in the WWE, he did know about it during his service. During his service from 2008 to 2012, he handled Defense Travel System plans for his battalion. His role and responsibility included travel plans for the Marines.
