Announced during the NWA Our Shadows Fall card, Kylie Rae is joining the NWA.

Rae was a surprise addition to the card where she teamed with Taryn Terrell to defeat Melina and Thunder Rosa. This was big news for one of the biggest fan favorites in women’s wrestling, highlighting her recent return to active competition.

It was a busy weekend for Rae, as she defended her Warrior Wrestling women’s title against Holidead the night before in a nearly 14-minute match. That victory highlighted her return to wrestling after taking time off since October of 2020.

Back in November Rae suddenly announced that she was stepping away from professional wrestling. She was supposed to face Deonna Purrazzo at Impact Bound for Glory but ended up not appearing. Rae stepped away from social media for an extended period. According to Jeremy Lambert of Fightful, Rae’s contract with Impact is over as a deal was made that would allow her to “move on and sign with NWA.”

With five years of professional experience, Rae has become one of the most beloved women in the wrestling industry. Along with Impact and NWA, she is performed in other major promotions included AEW, GCW, and RISE wrestling. She is a multiple-time champion, including currently holding the Warrior Wrestling Women’s title and the Freelance World championship.
