Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal [Men’s MITB Briefcase]

Drew McIntyre is currently scheduled to partake in the Men’s MITB Ladder Match at MITB. It is foreseeable that he will be in a major program at SummerSlam as well, especially if he so happens to win the MITB Briefcase. However, instead of booking McIntyre in another title match with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, the WWE should book McIntyre in a non-title program that is still important and worthy of his main event status. The currently teased program with Jinder Mahal could be the trick to preventing McIntyre from becoming an unbearable title contender.

As for the winner of this match, Drew McIntyre should win because the MITB Briefcase is his loophole to another world title opportunity. In order to reach the upper echelons of the pro wrestling world, McIntyre needs to gradually work his way back up the card once he loses in a big title match. Hogging the title picture each month will neither help his babyface appeal towards the fans nor help his long term momentum. A break from the title picture is needed and this feud he has going on with Jinder Mahal should get him back on the fan’s good side in the long term.

Foolproof Prediction: Drew McIntyre

Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville [Women’s MITB Briefcase]

Liv Morgan is currently teased to partake in the Women’s MITB Ladder Match at MITB as Sonya Deville announces each contestant on SmackDown. It is foreseeable that she will be in a major program at SummerSlam as well, especially if she so happens to win the MITB Briefcase. The WWE should book Morgan in a non-title program that will elevate her to the main event scene. The currently teased program with Deville could be the trick to turning Morgan into the next breakout star whom the fans can get behind.

As for the winner of this match, Deville should win because the idea of Deville abusing her power as GM to get title opportunities at Morgan’s expense would work well in attracting heel heat for herself as well as babyface sympathy for Morgan. While Deville can use MITB as a shortcut to a championship, Morgan will have to take the long and arduous path to a title opportunity. The fans love a gradual and timely babyface chase, and they can more feasibly adore Morgan’s honorable perseverance and diligence in her long winded journey to championship gold.
