Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor [Grudge Match]

Bray Wyatt is currently being advertised for the August 9, 2021 episode of WWE Raw, so it’s safe to presume that he will be present at WWE SummerSlam 2021. Meanwhile, Finn Balor has not done anything on NXT since he lost the NXT Championship to Karrion Kross, so it is expected that he will get called up soon. When Finn Balor left the main roster to go to NXT, his last feud on the main roster was with Bray Wyatt at WWE SummerSlam 2019. Now that it’s SummerSlam season, it would be an ideal time to revisit that feud in what would be The Fiend vs. The Demon.

Balor and Wyatt already fought twice at SummerSlam. “The Demon” Finn Balor defeated Bray Wyatt at WWE SummerSlam 2017, and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt defeated Finn Balor at WWE SummerSlam 2019. It seems that their SummerSlam feud is revisited every two years, so this year would be the perfect year to break the tie and end the feud for good. Since The Demon has never interacted with The Fiend, now would be time to do it. As for the winner of this match, Finn Balor should win to show that repackaging himself in NXT as The Prince did not go to waste.

Foolproof Prediction: “The Demon” Finn Balor

Edge vs. Seth Rollins [Grudge Match]

Edge is currently scheduled to battle Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at WWE MITB 2021. He will inevitably lose to Reigns because the seeds have already been planted for a SummerSlam program between Edge and Rollins. Not only is the program heavily rumored but Edge deliberately took the title shot that Seth Rollins claimed first after talking to management. Rollins was clearly upset about this on Talking Smack and will eventually find a way to get his revenge against Edge while calling back to the time he tried to break his neck in 2014.

As for the winner of this match, Edge should win to avenge Rollins for trying to break his neck in 2014. After losing to Reigns at both WrestleMania and MITB, Edge needs that consolation victory at SummerSlam in front of the fans. It can be argued that Rollins needs the win more to get back into the title picture. However, Rollins is already established enough to find a loophole into a title opportunity whenever he wants at this point. Losing to Edge won’t necessarily stop him from getting a title opportunity for either the WWE or Universal Championship.

Foolproof Prediction: Edge
