3.) Sheamus (c) vs. Humberto Carillo [United States Championship]

On WWE RawSheamus is scheduled to defend his United States Championship against Humberto Carillo, who defeated Sheamus in a non-title match to earn this opportunity after fracturing Sheamus’ nose last month with a high knee. Due to this nose fracture, Sheamus was not cleared to compete or defend his U.S. Title for an entire month and a half. This inactivity severely hurt the midcard division. On the bright side, the U.S. Title is back in time for the live fans, and Sheamus can reignite the flame behind the killer matches he produced before WrestleMania 37.

Now that Sheamus has healed from that nose fracture, he is hopefully done using the face mask that reminds wrestling fans of the disfigured 2011 Cody Rhodes and NBA fans of Richard Hamilton. Sheamus will get his revenge against Carillo with a Brogue Kick to the skull and a successful U.S. Title retention. In terms of his road to SummerSlam, the WWE should consider booking Sheamus in a title match with Damian Priest. After defeating The Miz, Priest has been lost in the shuffle and is deserving of a major program at WWE’s second-biggest show of the year.

Prediction: Sheamus

2.) Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki A.S.H. vs. Asuka vs. Naomi [Women’s MITB Promotional Fatal 4 Way Match]

On WWE Raw, the four contestants in the Women’s MITB Ladder Match are scheduled to battle in a fatal four-way match. This will merely be a momentum booster for any of these superstars heading into the MITB PPV. The superstar who seems to be highlighted the most in recent weeks has been Nikki A.S.H. Apparently, A.S.H. stands for “Almost Super Hero.” The WWE has been attempting to sell this gimmick for the past few weeks by booking Cross to earn victories over Ripley, Charlotte, Shayna Baszler, and Nia Jax.

Last week, she ate the pinfall to Nia Jax in an eight women tag match last week, so it is likely that she regains her momentum with a victory here. Asuka and Naomi don’t stand a chance here after their lackluster momentum recently. It is just as likely that Alexa Bliss wins here since she has been built up consistently as a major threat in the Raw Women’s Division. However, the Raw Women’s Division has become Gotham City ever since Nikki A.S.H.’s new gimmick came to life. Even Bliss’ fire-bending and other magic powers cannot defy Nikki A.S.H.’s ‘almost’ superpowers.
