WWE SummerSlam 2021 Rapid Fire Match Card Predictions

WWE SummerSlam 2021! Will this really be the biggest event of the summer? The WWE will do everything in its power to assure that the match card is stacked, the star power is immense, and almost every moment is memorable. However, will there be long-term storytelling with an end goal or payoff to reward the fans who stuck with WWE’s egregious programming throughout the pandemic months? Far from it. Nonetheless, the following will provide full match card and result predictions for the official matches as well as any matches that could be added to the match card.
With that being said, it’s now time to preview and predict the matches and storylines that will occur at WWE SummerSlam 2021.
WWE SummerSlam 2021 is scheduled to take place on August 21, 2021, live on the WWE Network via Peacock. Here are some rapid fire match card predictions.
Natalya & Tamina (c) vs. Shotzi & Nox [Women’s Tag Team Titles]
The only tag team Natalya and Tamina had lost to in a championship contender’s match was Shotzi and Nox. Henceforth, it is sensible for Shotzi and Nox to be the official number one contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam. As long as Natalya returns in time from her recent injury, this title match will be a lock and should be an opportune moment to showcase and elevate new rising stars in Shotzi and Nox, especially since the Women’s Tag Titles have not been defended on PPV since WrestleMania 37.
As for the winners of this match, Shotzi and Nox will get the victory because they would be a breath of fresh air in the Women’s Tag Team Division, especially since Natalya and Tamina’s reign has already run its course. Shotzi and Nox have a fun babyface gimmick involving the tank and have the potential to develop their characters even further at the top of the women’s tag division. At some point, they should become main eventers in the women’s division, but the tag titles will be a launching pad for them as they kickstart their main roster careers.
Rapid Fire Prediction: Shotzi & Nox
Alexa Bliss & Lilly vs. Eva Marie & Piper Niven [Tag Match]
Alexa Bliss and Lilly have been disrupting Eva Marie and Piper Niven’s matches in recent weeks after being insulted by Eva Marie in their playground. These weekly distractions are likely leading to a tag match involving all parties at SummerSlam. Many fans may question the idea of a puppet (i.e. Lilly) wrestling in a match. However, it’s not a mismatch because the depth of Lilly’s wrestling arsenal is probably at the same level as Eva Marie’s since both have not wrestled at all since debuting on the main roster.
Bliss and Lilly will win because they can just use magic to win. Lilly will scare Eva Marie and chase her to the backstage area, while Alexa Bliss will hypnotize Piper Niven and pin her for the three count. This will be sufficient momentum for Bliss and Lilly to pursue the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Since the WWE has converted from a TV-14 professional wrestling company to a PG Disney Circus, it would not be far-fetched to foresee Bliss and Lilly winning the tag titles before 2021 comes to a close.
