All Elite Wrestling president, Tony Khan, has promised ‘the most anticipated announcement’ tonight on AEW Rampage.

AEW Rampage will be live from United Center in Chicago, Illinois, airing on TNT from 10pm EST. It will be the second episode of the show, which debuted last Friday.

Tony Khan tweeted out to his over 180k followers: “I’m betting that excitement from the most anticipated announcement in @AEW history at #AEWRampage The First Dance will build up through All Out on PPV. We’ll make new fans + we’ll welcome dormant wrestling households worldwide back into the fold; a new era in #AEW begins tomorrow [Friday]”

It has been widely speculated for weeks that CM Punk is making a return to professional wrestling, with AEW earmarked as his likely destination. Of course, the show tonight takes place in his hometown of Chicago, which may signal it is almost guaranteed that the Second City Saint will debut for the company.

CM Punk has also been joining in with the speculation, teasing on his Instagram with a post that seemed to signify the summer of 2021 will be another ‘Summer of Punk’.

There has also been speculation that Daniel Bryan has signed with All Elite Wrestling, and could feature on AEW Rampage tonight also. As it stands, there has been no clear indicators to assume that the American Dragon will be showing up tonight.

Anticipation is building in the wrestling world for AEW Rampage

The talk on everyone’s lips right now is AEW Rampage tonight. It seems that everyone will be watching with the hope of seeing one person – CM Punk.

Although never officially confirmed, everything is pointing towards the former WWE Champion appearing tonight. Whether he shows up announced, or answers the open challenge from Darby Allin for the AEW TNT Title, the roof of the United Center will immediately be blown off.

All eyes are on AEW Rampage and Chicago tonight.
