The 2021 WWE Draft has been confirmed and will take place at the start of October. The first night will air on Friday Night SmackDown on Oct. 1, with the second night taking place on Monday Night Raw on Oct. 4.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast was the first to confirm the news a number of weeks ago. The announcement from WWE was made during the Sept. 13 episode of Monday Night Raw.

It will be the third consecutive year that the WWE Draft has taken place in October. Last year’s WWE Draft saw Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens move over to SmackDown. New WWE Champion Big E was also drafted from Raw to SmackDown. Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, and AJ Styles were notable names that moved to Raw.

The WWE Draft arrives to shake things up again

The WWE Draft always brings some buzz and excitement to see which WWE superstars will potentially change brands. It is certain we will see some big names move to give them a new lease on life on a different show.

It also gives WWE the option to press the reset button and refresh their shows and the option to write some new feuds and present some fresh match-ups. Could we see Bobby Lashley move over to SmackDown so we can finally see the Lashley-Lesnar match we’ve wanted to see for many years now?

Has Drew McIntyre’s ride on Raw hit a brick wall? Could there be better opportunities for SmackDown’s women’s superstars such as Liv Morgan, Carmella, Zelina Vega, and Naomi on Raw? It will certainly get the WWE Universe talking over the next few weeks and we can’t wait to see how the WWE Draft unfolds over the first weekend of October.
