WWE NXT 2.0 (or 3.0 to those in the know) kicked off on September 14. There was a lot of excitement and apprehension heading into a new, revamped show. But with a major title on the line in the main event, someone was going to come out as the new NXT champion.

LA Knight was in the first match of the night and his mouth got him in trouble against Bron Breaker, son of the legendary Rick Steiner and nephew to Scott.

Breaker went right to the power moves early, just like his father and uncle. He tossed Knight around with a variety of suplexes, but Knight was able to fight into positions of advantage of his own. He capped out his best string of offense with a neckbreaker out of the corner.

Breaker responded with a belly-to-belly suplex and Knight fired back with punches. Knight hits a knee but Breaker bounces right back to his feet. In a show of strength, he lifted Knight in the air then caught him for a powerslam, picking up the victory.

Bron Breaker defeated LA Knight via pinfall.

The second match of the night was tag team action, with Imperium taking on Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.

Fabian Aichner and Jensen started out the match against each other, with Aichner getting the early advantage, but Jensen landed a powerslam of his own to even things out. Briggs and Jensen were able to hit some tag team moves. Barthel got the tag but Briggs was able to continue controlling him with the power game. Briggs hit a one-arm slam and a splash for a two-count. Barthel fights back but Briggs does not go down. However, Barthel and Aichner worked in some tag team moves as well.

Jensen takes over when he’s brought back into the ring, hitting a powerslam and a backbreaker. The fight ends up spilling out into the floor with Briggs getting sent into the steel steps. In the ring, Aichner rolls up Jensen for a two-count. Jensen responds with a running elbow, but off of the distraction Aichner hits a double-under suplerlex to get the win.

Imperium defeated Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen via pinfall.

B-Fab of Hit Row made her in-ring debut against Katrina Cortez.

B-Fab immediately goes on the offense, followed up with big kicks in the corner. B-Fab locked in a submission but Cortez did not go away, eventually fighting back with right hands and a boot to the face. B-Fab immediately answers back with a pup kick. She finishes off Cortez with the Rude Awakening for the win.

B-Fab defeated Katrina Cortez via pinfall.

Women’s tag team action is up next with Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter against Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.

Carter flies out of the corner to attack Dolin while Catanzaro knocks Jayne from the apron. Dolin is isolated in the corner and they work together to keep her grounded. Dolin powers out and makes the tag to Jayne who was quickly overpowered by both women. Catanzaro and Carter looked for more offense but Mandy Rose ran into the ring to cause the disqualification.

Sarray ran down to make the save, setting up a six-woman tag team match.

Sarray charged into the match and cleared house, landing a big dropkick on Dolin. She followed that up with a fisherman’s suplex for a two-count. Carter and Catanzaro continued rolling with more doubles offense, for another two-count. Catanzaro turned around right into a kick to the face, allowing Dolin to tag in Rose.

With Catanzaro isolated the offense continued as Dolin returned to the ring. Rose was back in the ring, landing forearm shots before throwing Catanzaro to the mat for a two-count. Jayne, Dolin, and Rose continued taking turns on Catanzaro but she made the tag to Carter who came in rolling. She landed a stiff kick to Rose’s jaw but the fight broke down to a brawl between all six women.

Carter landed another kick to Rose’s head but she kicked out at two. The outside distraction allowed Rose to land her pump knee and pick up the victory.

Mandy Rose, Jacy Jayne, and Gigi Dolin defeated Sarray, Kayden Carter, and Kacy Catanzaro.

Ridge Holland was up next for singles action against Drake Maverick.

Holland played with Maverick tossing him around and pounding his face with forearms. Maverick refused to have the match stopped, trying his best to fight back. He slapped Holland in the face and was immediately dropped back to the mat. Holland planted Maverick with Northern Grit to pick up the victory.

Ridge Holland defeated Drake Maverick via pinfall.

The Creed Brothers were out next for Diamond Mine. Aggression was the name of the game as they destroyed their opponents with ease. The only way to describe this “match” was brutality as The Creed Brothers won via onslaught.

The Creed Brothers were victorious via pinfall.

The NXT Championship Fatal Four-way was next.

All four men immediately start brawling, leaving Wagner and Ciampa in the ring alone. Wagner lays out Dunne and Ciampa before Knight takes out Wagner followed by Ciampa with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Wagner hits an elbow and a belly-to-back of his own. But Dunne gets a hold of him and goes to work on Wagner’s arm.

Ciampa and Dunne go back to brawling until Knight jumps in only to be tossed from the ring. Von Wagner got back into the ring and went on a run taking damage from Dunne with ease before laying him out. Knight took Wagner out on the floor, leaving Ciampa in control inside. That changed once Wagner got back into the ring, but all four men continued to exchange offense. Ciampa continued to roll in this match, wiping everyone out on the floor before isolating Dunne back in the ring. Dunne hits the Bitter End but Wagner and Knight ended up in the ring alone. Wagner hits the Olympic Slam but Knight kicks out at two while his face is a bloody mess.

Dunne and Ciampa wipe out Wagner, leaving them alone in the ring once again. Dunne and Ciampa slugged it out, with Dunne knocking Ciampa out the ring. Dunne went to the top rope with Knight hitting a Superplex. Wagner nearly won the title, but it was Ciampa running in to hit the Fairy Tale Ending on Knight to pick up the victory.
