WWE was looking to make a big impact with this week’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw and that is exactly what happened. The night started off with The New Day versus The Bloodline, but along the way a lot of things occurred that helped spark a bit of interest from wrestling fans.

The first match featured that main event quality battle between The New Day and The Bloodline.

Kofi Kingston started things off against Jimmy Uso, with Kingston getting the advantage early. They exchanged offense but Kingston responded after countering a monkey flip out of the corner. He would then make the tag Xavier Woods who kept rolling on Jimmy. Woods hit a top rope elbow drop for two and the match continued.

Kingston would be isolated in the ring and each member of The Bloodline had their opportunity to dish out damage to him. Roman Reigns pulled him outside, ramming Kingston into the steel post and sending him over the announce table, leading into the commercial break.

Back in the ring, it was Jey that was in and putting the work to Kingston. Just as he is about to make the tag, Jey tags in Jimmy who knocks Woods off the apron. Kingston countered, landing a double stomp to Jimmy’s face, making the tag to Big E while Jimmy tagged in Reigns.

The two champions faced off with Big E hitting a series of suplexes. Reigns landed a Uranage, but Big E kicked out at two. He knocked one of the Usos out of the ring, allowing for Reigns to hit the Superman Punch. Big E rolled outside. Woods makes the tag and goes at Reigns, but outside the ring, Bobby Lashley runs out to attack everyone.

The distraction allows Reigns to hit the spear on Woods to pick up the victory. While Reigns celebrates, Lashley charges him with a spear, leaving everyone laying in the ring or on the floor.

Eva Marie versus Doudrop is the next bout.

Doudrop puts an end to Eva Marie quickly in this match. Marie tried to land some forearms, but they did not have any effect. Doudrop slammed her to the mat, followed up with two splashes to pick up the pinfall win.

Randy Orton and AJ Styles were up next for a singles match.

The two men started things off trading holds and talking smack to each other. Styles started working on Orton’s arm but Orton turns it around to go after the same body part. Styles went for a clothesline but had to avoid the RKO. Omos causes a distraction, which gives Styles the space to take control of the match.

Riddle is also ringside, attempting to hype up Orton. Omos knocks down Riddle with an uppercut and then trips Orton. The referee throws him out from ringside. Styles launches himself over the top rope, landing on top of Orton.

Styles continued to roll when they return to the ring. Orton attempts to come back with a clothesline but misses. Orton avoided a charging Styles who hit the post. This gives Orton the space to take over with his own series of attacks. He tops it all off with a powerslam for a two count. The offense picked up and was going back and forth with both men getting in sports. Orton hits a variation of Riddle’s suplex but Styles kicks out at two.

Styles hits the Pele kick and goes for the pin but Orton kicks out again. Styles continued the attack, including a sliding forearm to the face and a springboard moonsault. They exchange attempts at the Phenomenal Forearm and RKO, but Orton catches Styles with the draping DDT. Styles stumbles back to his feet and takes the RKO and is pinned.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler had a brutal singles match.

The two women started mouthing off to each other with Jax making it clear she was the stronger woman. After smashing Baszler into the corner, Baszler started firing off knees and kicks to Jax. She drops Jax to one knee and keeps firing off, locking in the Kirifuda Clutch. Jax tries to slam her way out of it, but Baszler locks in her hooks, choking her former partner unconscious.

Shayna Baszler defeated Nia Jax via submission.

After the match, Baszler attacked Jax, using the steel steps to destroy her arm as the bigger woman screamed out in pain.

Mustafa Ali and Mansoor were out for tag action against Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

Garza and Carrillo rolled for much of this match. They land aggressive tag team moves on Ali and went for the pin but Ali kicked out at two. Ali landed a tornado DDT and used that as an opportunity to tag out to Mansoor, who hit a clothesline and a series of dropkicks on Garza.

Now, Mansoor and Ali landed their own tag moves in the corner, but Carrillo breaks up the pin attempt. Mansoor throws Carrillo out to the ring but he causes Mansoor to miss the suicide dive. Ali makes the save outside the ring, but he gets taken out as well.

Back inside, Carrillo and Garza hit another tag team maneuver on Ali and roll him up for the pinfall.

Nikki Ash and Rhea Ripley challenged Natalya and Tamina for the women’s tag team titles.

Nikki Ash was against Tamina early and it did not take long for Ash to be in a bad position. Natalya and Tamina broke out the Heart Attack, but Ash kicked out at two. She was then isolated on the wrong side of the ring, taking the beatdown from both women.

Tamina planted Ash in the middle of the ring with a Samoan Drop and went for the splash, but Ash got her knees up. Tamina made the tag to Natalya, who continued the mounting offense on Ash. Outside the ring, Ripley hit the Riptide on Tamina on the ring apron. Inside, Ash rolled up Natalya to pick up the win.

Nikki Ash and Rhea Ripley defeated Natalya and Tamina via pinfall to become the new Women’s’ Tag Team Champions.

Sheamus and Jeff Hardy were up next for singles action.

Hardy started out in control early but Sheamus quickly snapped him over with a headlock. Sheamus went for a clothesline but Hardy countered with a basement dropkick. Hardy dropped Sheamus over the top rope, causing him to fall to the floor. Hardy tried to launch himself onto Sheamus, but Sheamus catches him and drops him hard onto the apron.

The two men were back in the ring and Hardy knocked Sheamus down with a forearm to the face. He followed up with his classic offense, hitting a leg sweep before going to the top rope for a splash. Sheamus kicked out at two. Hardy went for some offense in the corner, but Sheamus booted him back to the ground. That was followed up by a clothesline off the top.

Sheamus was bloodied but continued to lay it on Hardy. Hardy ducked the Brogue Kick and hit the Twist of Fate. Hardy went to the top for the Swanton Bomb, but Sheamus got his knees up. Sheamus lifted Hardy but Hardy rolled through, pinning Sheamus and earning a shot in at Extreme Rules.

Jeff Hardy defeated Sheamus via pinfall.

The main event was up next and Roman was out first, followed by Lashley, and then Big E.

Big E and Lashley started throwing hands at each other first, then gave Reigns a punch as well. He then splashed Lashley on the ring apron, but Reigns came from the side with a drive-by to the face. Lashley cleared out the ring and went after Big E. E responded with a back elbow, but Lashley kicked out at two. E was in control until Reigns stormed back in with an uppercut, before knocking Lashley out the ring.

Reigns hit a big clothesline on E for a two-count before going outside to attack Lashley. However, Lashley countered with a big clothesline. Lashley was landing shots on both men before Big E countered, but Reigns hit a Samoan Drop. Reigns pounded Lashley in the corner, sitting him on the top rope. Lashley fought back with a headbutt but took a stiff uppercut as a response. Reigns went for the Superplex, but Big E ran in for the Tower of Doom.

The crowd was on their feet for the match. Reigns went for the punch again but Lashley responded with the spear. Big E broke up the pinfall and Lashley goes for the Hurt Lock. Reigns hits the Superman Punch on Lashley, and Big E follows up with the suicide dive onto Reigns outside the ring. Big E hit the big ending and Lashley smashed him with a chair. The chair shots continued and he turned around into the spear from Reigns.
