On a night that saw surprises, debuts, and new champions being crowned, Bound For Glory certainly lived up to the hype. This night also saw incredible matches and moments that will go down in history.

Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Decay (c) vs. The IInspiration

The show opens with the lights going out, and out comes Harley Cameron who sang The IInspiration out to the ring performing their theme song. Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee get on the mics and introduce themselves. They tell everyone that they came to Impact to inspire the fans. Rosemary and Havok then make their way to the ring.

McKay and Rosemary start the match for their respective teams. McKay quickly tags out as the IInspiration do their famous “IIconic” taunt. Rosemary was able to get the best of McKay until Lee caused a distraction. The IInspiration took over the match until Rosemary was able to make the hot tag to Havok.

In the closing moments of the match, Havok was taken out by the IInspiration. Rosemary, the legal competitor, took a double-team move from the IInspiration and was pinned by Cassie Lee for the victory.

Winner: And New Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions, The IInspiration

After the match, Matt Striker gave a rundown of all the matches on tonight’s card. The camera cuts backstage, where we see Gia Miller interviewing Deonna Purrazzo. Purrazzo says that Mickie James attacked her and that she and the Drama King are getting punished for something that Mickie started. Purrazzo also threatened to break both of Mickie’s arms before all is said and done.

Impact X Division Championship Triple Threat Match: El Phantasmo vs. Trey Miguel vs. Steve Maclin

The match gets off to a very quick start. Trey Miguel and El Phantasmo are hitting their high-flying moves. Steve Maclin puts a stop to it though when he attacks Miguel from behind, off a distraction by El Phantasmo. Although he isn’t a high-flyer, Steve Maclin does a great job at grounding Miguel and Phantasmo during this match with his ground and pound offense.

Phantasmo and Maclin form an alliance of sorts during this match. That alliance quickly turns into a game of “whatever you do, I can do better.” Miguel showcased a lot of his super-human abilities during this match. The same can be said, though, for El Phantasmo who also contains some super-human abilities himself.

In the closing sequence of this match, we see Trey Miguel and El Phantasmo take out Maclin. El Phantasmo then tries to low-blow Miguel but didn’t realize that Miguel was wearing a cup. Phantasmo ended up hurting his fist in the process. Miguel hit the Meteora from the top rope to pin Phantasmo and win the X-Division Championship.

Winner: And New X-Division Champion, Trey Miguel

The camera cuts back where we see Gia Miller interviewing Mickie James ahead of her Impact Knockouts Championship match with Deonna. Mickie says this is her toughest challenge to date. James also praises Deonna and says she is one of the best Impact Knockouts Champions in history but that Deonna has made it personal. Mickie James says that tonight is about proving to herself that she is worthy of holding a championship again.

Violent By Design vs. Heath and ???

As everyone makes their entrances, we see that Heath comes out alone. Deaner and Joe Doering attack Heath from behind in a two-on-one situation. The match starts as a handicap match. Heath quickly turns the tables and gets the upper hand on Deaner.

Doering causes a distraction and gives Deaner control of the match. The match largely saw VBD in control of Heath. Heath shows some fight, but didn’t have a partner to tag in. Rhino’s music hits and he comes out in the ring and tags in for Heath and helps to take out his former teammates in VBD.

The match ends when Rhino hits the Gore on Deaner and pins him to give his team the victory. After the match, Heath and Rhino hug it out in the ring.

Winner: Heath and Rhino

After the match, we see highlights from Awesome Kong’s Impact Hall of Fame induction ceremony. We also see highlights from the Digital Media Championship match, which was won by Jordynne Grace. The camera cuts to Jordynne being interviewed. Grace says that Rachael Ellering, her partner, can win the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match. This is interrupted by Moose and W. Morrisey, who have other plans.

Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match

This match has 20 entrants in it and you can be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope. The first one is Chris Sabin and the second is Rocky Romero. The two start it off as a technical wrestling match, with lock-ups and also some dropkicks were added in. The match featured a lot of tremendous wrestlers from Impact.

We also saw a couple of odd alliances, one being Rohit Raju, Madman Fulton, and Tasha Steelz who teamed up earlier on in the match. One of the more interesting moments that happened this match is Sam Beale eliminating his former teacher, Brian Myers.

Some of the surprises that we saw in this match were Melina and The Demon. The final four were Rich Swann, Matt Cardona, W.Morrisey, and Moose. W.Morrisey tried to eliminate Rich Swann but didn’t realize that Moose was behind him. Moose eliminates both Morrisey and Swann. The final two were Cardona and Moose. The match ended when Moose hit the spear on Cardona and pinned him.

Winner: Moose

The camera cuts to Gia Miller interviewing Heath and Rhino. Heath says that Rhyno showed up at the right time and that he is his best friend. Rhyno tells Heath he can tell his kids that Uncle Rhino is back.

Impact Tag Team Championship Match: The Good Brothers (c) vs. FinJuice vs. The Bullet Club

The Bullet Club is being represented tonight by Hikuleo and Chris Bey, and are the first team to make their entrance. They are followed by FinJuice, then Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers. The match starts with Chris Bey and David Finlay. The match starts with good lock-ups by Bey and Finlay.

Finjuice quickly took control over The Bullet Club. Big LG tagged himself in when Hikuleo did and we got a stand-off by the two biggest competitors in this match. The two then started exchanging punches and neither one could take the other off his feet. The match was a solid, hard-hitting, back-and-forth match until the very end.

The match ended when Karl Anderson tagged Juice Robinson before Robinson hit a splash from the top rope. Anderson went into the ring and threw Juice out of the ring to steal the pinfall.

Winner: And Still The Impact Tag Team Champions, The Good Brothers

After the match, we see Gia Miller interviewing Christian Cage. Cage says he isn’t ready to pass the torch yet. He tells Alexander that tonight is not his night and that Josh isn’t ready to be the champion yet.

Impact Knockouts Championship: Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs Mickie James

The match starts with Mickie attacking Deonna almost instantly. They brawl on the outside of the ring and up the entrance ramp. The bell finally rings when they both get into the ring after a brawl outside of the ring for the first five minutes.

In the early going of this match, it was all Deonna Purrazzo. Mickie began to show some fight and started to build momentum. However, the two women hit a double crossbody on each other which stopped James right in her tracks. This was a great back and forth match that could have gone either way.

At the end of the match, Mickie hit her famous DDT on Deonna which Deonna kicked out of. Deonna locked in the armbar but Mickie got her foot under the ropes to break the hold. Deonna then hit a Queen’s Gambit on Mickie which she kicked out of. Mickie then jumped off the top and Deonna pulled the referee in front of her.

When the referee got knocked down, Deonna went to get a chair and Mickie hits the Mick Kick with the chair, which Purrazzo kicks out of. Deonna tries to mock Mickie James DDT, by attempting to hit her with it, but James reverses and hits one of her own. James then pins Deonna to win the Impact Knockouts Championship.

Winner: And New Impact Knockout’s Champion, Mickie James

Impact then airs a vignette of the upcoming main event between Christian Cage and Josh Alexander for the Impact World Championship.

Impact World Championship Match: Christian Cage (c) vs Josh Alexander

Josh Alexander comes out to the ring first, followed by Christian Cage. Right off the bat, this match has a big fight feel. In the beginning, it was a feeling-out process. Alexander gains the upper hand early on in the match when he pushes Christian Cage off the top turnbuckle to the outside of the ring.

Josh Alexander is in full control of this match in the early going. However, Christian Cage soon turns it around so that he has all the momentum going forward. Alexander shows a lot of fight, though, and a lot of heart in staying in this match. Josh Alexander German suplexes Christian into the middle turnbuckle and turns the match around for himself.

This was a great back-and-forth match as well. We saw both men give everything they had in this match and they truly left it all out there. The match ultimately ends when Josh Alexander has the ankle lock locked in on Christian Cage and makes him tap.

Winner: And New Impact World Champion, Josh Alexander

After the match, Christian Cage and Josh Alexander give each other a hug and show each other a sign of respect. Josh Alexander’s son and wife come in the ring to celebrate with him. However, Moose comes from behind and hits Alexander with a spear and pins him calling his shot to become the Impact World Champion.
