Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair are perhaps the two biggest stars in professional wrestling. No one needs to tell their fans that. However, Front Office Sports revealed that the two women are among the most tweeted about female athletes in 2021.

Front Office Sports, a media and news company following the sports industry, tweeted out two lists of men’s and women’s athletes that were the most talked about on Twitter. Sasha Banks came in third on that list, while Bianca Belair was in the fifth position. The other three women included Simone Biles, Naomi Osaka, and Serena Williams – three women that do not need much of an introduction for their accolades both on and off the courts.

Banks and Belair shared one of the most important moments in professional wrestling when the two women headlined night one of WrestleMania in their match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. Not only was this the first time two Black women were in the main event slot, but it was also the first time two Black wrestlers main evented WWE’s biggest show of the year. For this moment, they won an ESPY presented by ESPN.

Stephanie McMahon tweeted out a simple message with flexing emojis to show her support.

The most tweeted about male athletes list did not include any men from professional wrestling.
