Mercedes Martinez appears on AEW Dynamite to attack Thunder Rosa

Mercedes Martinez appeared at AEW Dynamite, attacking Thunder Rosa.

Rosa battled Jade Cargill in the semi-finals of the TBS Women’s Championship Tournament. After an extensive back-and-forth match, Cargill pushed Rosa into the bottom turnbuckle where a hooded figure attacked, knocking Rosa out. That allowed Cargill to hit her finish and pick up the win.

Rosa attacked Cargill and the hooded woman returned, revealing herself to be Martinez. She was announced as being All Elite via social media shortly after.

Martinez is one of the most well-respected women in the wrestling industry. She was among the long list of performers cut from the WWE this year after her tenure on WWE NXT. Since her release this past summer, she’s performed across multiple companies in wrestling including Impact, GCW, Shimmer, and others.

Martinez is a multiple-time champion and her legacy spans two decades. For example, she’s a two-time Shimmer Champion, multi-time tag champion, and much more. She last competed against current NWA World Women’s Champion, Kamille at Battleground Championship Wrestling.

Jade Cargill moved onto the finals of the TBS Women’s Championship Tournament where she will face another former WWE competitor, Ruby Soho on the first edition of AEW Dynamite on TBS.
