The Crockett Cup is back!

News broke on Monday that the famed tournament is set for a return on March 19 and 20 at the Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee. The news was first reported across social media.

“It’s Back,” was tweeted from the NWA social media account linking to a video announcement trailer on YouTube.

The tag team tournament will consist of sixteen teams. To date, the following groups are confirmed to appear, The Briscoe Brothers, British Invasion, Strictly Business, and Le Rebelion. Nick Aldis was talking about plans for the tournament to return when questioned at the end of 2021.

The last Crockett Cup was held back in 2019 where Villain Enterprises, the team of Brody King and PCO, defeated The Wild Cards in the final.

Past Crockett Cup tournament winners include some of the most well-recognized teams in professional wrestling. The Road Warriors won the inaugural tournament back in 1986. Other winners include The Super Powers, The Sheepherders, and Sting and Lex Luger.
