WWE Hall of Famer, Kevin Nash, provided an unfortunate update on his longtime friend, Scott Hall.

“Scott’s on life support. Once his family is in place they will discontinue life support,” Nash posted on social media. “I’m going to lose the one person on this planet I’ve spent more of my life with than anyone else. My heart is broken and I’m so very [expletive] sad.”

Together, Hall and Nash, collectively known as the Outsiders, may be considered two of the most influential wrestlers of their generation. Their “invasion” of WCW after leaving WWF/WWE led to the creation of the NWO, and effectively the Monday Night Wars. That was a moment that has long been documented as the height of popularity for the industry.

“When we jumped to WCW, we didn’t care who liked or hated us,” Nash posted. “We had each other and with the Smooth Barry Bloom, we changed wrestling both in content and pay for those…. a lot that disliked us. We were the Outsiders but we had each other.”

News broke on Sunday that Hall suffered three heart attacks after complications with blood clots due after receiving hip replacement surgery. He is currently at the WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

Both Hall and Nash were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in multiple iterations. Hall was inducted for his performance as Razor Ramon in the class of 2014. They were both inducted together, along with Hulk Hogan and Sean Waltman, in 2020 for their work as the New World Order.
